LEVI fosters collaboration among and beyond teams, developing partners to maximize program impact. Our partners and affiliates bring essential resources and capacity, enabling teams to solve complex technical challenges, rigorously measure success, and navigate market strategies. Through this ecosystem of support, LEVI effectively scales AI-driven learning tools and ensures they deliver measurable improvements in student outcomes.

Hubs

LEVI recruits and invests in “hubs” of experts who bring specialized knowledge, resources, and capacity to help LEVI teams solve complex technical problems. Hubs provide wraparound services tailored to each moonshot program.

The Evaluation Hub, led by J-PAL North America, plays a central role in ensuring that LEVI innovations are rigorously tested and grounded in evidence. Through technical assistance, tailored guidance, LEVI-wide workshops, and connections with researchers within J-PAL’s network, J-PAL supports each team in designing and implementing high-quality randomized evaluations that assess program effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and scalability. The Evaluation Hub receives additional support from:

MC² Education provides LEVI teams with active support in recruitment for the Year 5 RCT through aligning strategies with research design, building recruitment infrastructure, customizing messaging, and working towards strong, authentic researcher and practitioner partnerships.

The Engineering Hub, led by Renaissance Philanthropy, provides teams with flexible, on-demand engineering expertise to tackle complex technical challenges, accelerate the development and scaling of learning tools, implement advanced methods, and share best practices across the cohort.

The Scaling Hub, directed by RYE Consulting, supports LEVI teams to scale through hands-on procurement support, market strategy, professional learning frameworks, sales coaching, and direct engagement with education leaders. The Scaling Hub receives additional support from the following:

Fuel Sales provides LEVI teams with sales resources, webinars, 1:1 coaching, and contact data to optimize outreach and support RCT recruitment.

ERDI provides teams with opportunities to engage directly with education leaders through forums, panels, and curated events.

CSS Law Group provides LEVI teams with legal guidance to support RCTs and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.

The Engagement Hub, housed within the University of Minnesota, supports teams in measuring and improving student engagement—behavioral, emotional, and cognitive—through data-driven insights, iterative design guidance, and advanced analytics, including knowledge tracing and AI-based analysis.

The Trialing Hub, run by Learning Data Insights, works with LEVI teams to support research design, analyze short-term research studies, track early learning gains, establish comparable measures, and synthesize results across the program.
